two thoughts came into my mind just now.

1. shani davis looks like frozone from the incredibles. it is a weirddd coincidence

2. does anyone think lieberman looks like senator palpatine from starwars?

shit. forgot to record.

i need to record my workouts. i don't really want to write it down.

10 x 200 m repeats

1/2 hr abs

3 x 12 hurdles; 3 runs, 12 hurdles each 12.5 m apart. bad ankle.
alternative workout: 3 sets of flyers.

4-5 laps of track w/ 2 sets bleachers each with hill. =2-2.5 miles
conditioning 1st day to test endurance and fitness level.

easy day: all warmup drills w/ 5 sets 1 hurdle over.
new warmup drill added: reg. hurdle but with hop.

warmups:
1. 10 minute jog
2. regular 2 lap warm up with regular warmup sets
3. regular 2 lap warm up with only hurdle drills

day 3. well, i WAS in seattle.

yeh basically i forgot. shh.

i love the sea-tac airport because it is huge. thatswhatshesaid. fshiz!

i took my first official tour at the UW campus. oh by the way, did i say i got a TEESHIRT? YEH. I GOT A HUSKIES TSHIRT. MY MARGINAL UTILITY WENT BLAZING UP THE ROOF. whatttt an opportunity cost.
the campus is defffff huge. a lot of red brick, and the buildings are definitely taken care of. i also take newspapers whenever i'm in a university, and the UW Daily is amazing. lots of color, lots of stories, pretty thorough sports reviews. the sports are huge here in udub, and i LOVE LOVE LOVE it. i want a school with huge spirit - i'm spoiled with that at mv.

theres sun, and a couple clouds, but the weather ws just amazing. it was the best day to see the trees uncovered by the fog, and the mountains had a great view from the drumheller fountain. soumya was there with me :)

day 2. i'm still in seattle.

so!
1. HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR
2. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY
3. more importantly, happy singles awareness day! heck freaking yeahs fo shizzles.

maybe seattle is a city of love. all around, i couldnt help but notice that there were so many attractive people, both men and women alike. it's not like they were flaunting any booty or w/e that you typically see in high school (or hooters for that matter), but everyone is just SO ordinarily beautiful. people are colorblind here and everyone runs/bikes.

more trivia:
1. seattle is the fittest city in the nation
2. 2% of seattles workforce bikes. densest population that does so.
3. densest amt. of ferries in lakes in the world.
4. has the most ferry trips in the nation. beats staten island.
5. red robin originated in seattle
6. nordstrom came from seattle
7. pearl jam came from seattle

so it rained heavy today for maybe a full 7 minutes about. so i realized- the weather here is just like PMS. you never know the skies will just condemn the city and rain a shitload, but it doesn't ever seem to last very long... so far. its very on and off, and the sun even pokes out every now and then. i was a little thrown off with it all because i needed sunglasses. AND i saw a double rainbow! :D:D:D:D

my mom and i walked 4 miles over from our hotel to pikes place market, which has a plethora of shops. i didn't know you could physically fit that many shops into a tiny space. i found out that i love russian pastries, local street performers, and seattle gelato is truly amazing in the chocolate box. it's so easy to get lost there, with the 2 floors so we just ended up circling around. and i also tried seattle cioppino, which is a seafood italian soup with a tomato base ( i watch a lot of food network). cioppino is popular in italy cuz its pretty much a hobo meal, european style, in the snese that you just add whatever you can and just throw stuff into a bigass pot. you cant even smell the fish, which is completely and utterly awesome. the smell of fish = the fish isnt fresh. more trivial information for you. MAN i'm on a roll fshizzle.

seattle has wonderful public transportation. you relaly have so many options. i took the seattle shuttle car and monorail, which was really fast, efficient, easy.

although i do have to admit, it was hecka weird' because it felt a lot like deja vu - seattle is just like sanfrancisco. there are a few hills in the roads, and the endless cables that seem to cut through the foggy skies of seattle.

i also took a duck car/boat tour. i want a floating house.

day 1. i'm in seattle.

yes, i am in seattle.
no, it doesnt rain that often. at least as often as everyone thinks. OK?! so stop bickering about the rain.

i def. need to watch the winter olympics. its hecka cool mans. i have yet to see the opening cermony, but i've been seeing the skiing and speedskating sporadically.

1. seattle is a super safe city so far.
2. everyone is supppppppppppper nice here.
3. water bottles at trader joes are cheap. 25 cents. is it that cheap in cali?
4. so many effing trees. fsho. i love being green.
5. there isn't chipotle here. they call it qcoda grill.
6. speedskaters have thunder thighs. i bet they could stop bullets.

the flight is about 1.5 hours, and the seattle/tacoma airport is just enormous. i came here once on my way to canada, but i never stop loving the place. it is just amazing. everything is so modern and silver, it reminds me of the space needle. the space needle at night seems to flow with white paint its pretty cute.

its such a niceeeeeeeee city. i absolutely love love love love seattle. i feel like my heart is already here when i got the letter, but i'm scared that i'm already shutting myself from college options.

on the plane a woman asked me i was going to seattle, as well as the hotel clerk and random people on my way over. when i told them i was visiting udub, they were like WOW welcome! i guess udub is a big deal here. i can't wait to see the campus.

oh guess what. after i came back from dinner and headed into the hotel lobby. guess who was there.
yeh.
the stanford track team. they are beautiful. these glowing, beautiful young men and women talking and laughing off the bus while the coaches and bus driver carried their luggage for them.
then i was thinking. damn. i wish i could go to stanford. and be fast.
then while i was waiting for the elevator, one of the athletes moved slightly in front of me. and i saw his backpack: "arcadia invitational".
damn they have everything i've ever wanted. arcadia is the largest high school national meet. it makes the junior olympics look like nothing.

the vancouver olympics is the first olympics that has ever been built on sea level.
ulgh i love trivial information.

future?

its been ages. and i don't really wanna study for econ.
so i made a poster for joe coto.
then i watched the state of the union.
then i watched colbert.
and the basketball game that we totally won.
and drank a lot of cranberry juice diluted with water.

i'm excited. very excited. everyday i read the letter in the big purple envelope, and i cant help but squeel inside.
but to be honest i'm not sure why i'm happy. is it just cuz i know i'm going to college? i dont really know, but i'm just happy. i hope its not a pseudo happy.
it's kind of surreal. i dont realy know wat the future will be like - it just seems some distant far off thing that people only imagine about but can't really ever experience.
like dragons.

everyone's telling me to get ready for the rain.
i want rainboots now.
